The Rest of the Week!

Wednesday: I had my first day of my ( hopefully ) first summer job! I babysat a four year old and a one year old in the morning for a couple hours so their mom could run some errands by herself. It was pretty good! The kids are so sweet and I hope this continues as a weekly thing! I have my next gig tomorrow ( Tuesday ) :] After that I just came home and was lazy all day. ;]
Thursday: BEACH DAY! Since I recently rediscovered my old camera I thought my younger brothers had destroyed long ago, I brought it an took some pictures! My family ( not including Jack and Dad because they were at scout camp ) went and met up with some of the others boys in their scout troop and their moms. I didn't end up swimming ( it was colder than I expected! ) but it was a good day for the first beach day of the summer. PICTURE TIME! ;]

Okay so at the end when we were getting ready to leave, I saw this parasailer way out and and he was coming closer and closer! The he floated down to the water and he hooked onto the boat and was towed along for a little while. Them he was released and started gliding along again. It doesn't sound that cool, but I thought it was awesome! :]
Saturday: My friends birthday/birthday party! ( Also my aunt's birthday, and my friend's little sister's birthday! ) We went and saw Brave, which was really cute! I liked Merida's three little brothers :]

There was also a new Pixar Short film which I really liked! Afterwards we went back to her house to hang out and eat, and when it got dark, burn more homework! I was kinda the fire tender person ;]
Sunday: Just a regular Sunday! I wore my new-ish sandals to church I guess... haha :]

Goodbye (Ciao) Party

On Tuesday, I went to my friends house for her goodbye party :[ The reason was sad, but the party was very fun! When we got there we all put on pink leis and sat and talked and ate snacks. And took pictures of course! :]

After just hanging out, we waited till everyone else got there and ate and then opened presents! I gave her the best friends necklace I bought on Monday. After the gifts we went swimming! My other friend brought her underwater camera so we took A LOT of pictures at the pool :]

After, the pool, we went back to her house and had ice cream! We just hung out again :] She also passed around a notebook where we wrote all our information so we can stay in touch!

I was one of the last girls to leave, so after we finished cleaning up, we gathered the extra leis and wrote "CIAO." In science sometimes, Ashley used to teach me some Spanish words/phrases because I wasn't taking Spanish this year. Our favorites include: lo siento, yo tambien, porque, and even que todo este siempre a tu favor ( sorry, me too, why/becuase and may the odds be ever in your favor). This ( ciao ) has become sort of an inside thing between Ashley and I, because once ( before she told me she was moving ) she told me never to say adios because it means goodbye "forever," and to say ciao instead because it means goodbye "for now." So, thats the background between "ciao!" :]

Monday: Mall and Soccer Party

Monday ( which is the day I decided would be my official first day of summer, as I said earlier ) was truly a summer day. I went to the mall, went on a long, hot walk with slurpies, and  then went to a party! We started off at the mall because I wanted to get a present to give to my friend thats moving in July ( :[ ). I decided to fill a photo album with pictures of us and to get one of those best friends necklaces that match. I found two necklaces that form a heart when they are put together and says "partners in crime," and those with the money I earned babysitting on Saturday. After we got, the necklace, we went to the Disney store, which I could literally spend HOURS in :] Unfortunately, the one in the mall we went to us going out of business :[ After that, we bought a phone case fro me at a random kiosk and left. Then we had to walk to our church to pick up the car my dad left there when he and Jack left earlier to go camping. We also used that time as an opportunity to walk down to CVS and print the pictures I needed for my photo album. Then got we got home and got ready for my soccer party! It was up in the clubhouse by Concourse Park. We played volleyball and other games, ate, swam, got medals, and signed blankets for each of my coaches!

  Since its my last year on the team, I wrote something extra long for my coaches. We pretty much just hung out and had fun! :] At the end my friend who had been swimming ( I hadn't been ) decided to be her usual self and come trap in a big, wet bear hug. It was wet. Haha but I'm gonna miss my team and soccer :[ Cross country, here I come!

Light Graffiti

One of the things to do on my 'Summer 2012' was to learn how to do light graffiti and then take some pictures of it. Light graffiti is when you go into a dark room with a camera and a flashlight, and then you set the cameras shutter speed realllly slow and then draw with the light.  I started that on Sunday night with Jack. We went in my room and hung a sheet over the bunk bed so the background would be solid. Then we got some flashlights and started drawing! We set the shutter speed really slow and then put it on one of my shelves. Here are some of my favorites:

The Beginning

Welcome! I decided that my official summer wouldn't begin until tomorrow ( Monday ) even though we got out on Thursday, so I would have time to plan and prepare. Yes, I am one of those people that need time to prepare for relaxation ;]
Thursday was a day of mixed emotions. I was SO happy that school was out, but about 10 minutes before the last bell, I found out one of my best friends is moving to Kansas :'[ After school, I went to a swim/ice cream party, which was very fun!
On Friday, my mom, brothers, and I went to the Spectrum for a couple different reasons. First, we wanted to go to Barnes and Noble so we could get the new Rick Riordan book ( yay! ) and so I could get a Wreck This Journal, which is exactly what it sounds like. Its a journal that has different instructions on each page of how to 'wreck' it. I'm excited to do it; I'll post pictures of my favorite pages later :] After that, we went to the movie theatre to see The Avengers. It was really good, but the end was a bit too sci-fi. But overall, I really liked it! Tony Stark was hilarious :] Next, we went home and I got ready for another swim party. That one was also fun! At the end, we burned some of our schoolwork in the my friend's fire-pit thingy. It was very... satisfying >:]
Saturday was a stay-home-day. I pretty much watched TV and worked on my Wreck This Journal. It was relaxing. Later into the evening, Jack and I babysat, but that was about it.
Sunday ( today ) was pretty eventful. It was Father's Day, and I had to give a talk in church. The young women also sang a musical number with their dads, and my grandparents came to watch us. Our second hour teacher wasn't there today, so we were combined with the older class whose teacher gives out junk food and didn't have a totally spiritual lesson planned, but I'm not complaining. I had fun :]
Tomorrow I am having another swim party, this one with my soccer team. That'll be the third one in less than a week! And then Tuesday I have my friend's going away party ( :[ ) which is also a swim party! Wow haha. Busy summer ahead!
