Fourth of July started out early Wednesday morning - the annual 5k Lake Forest firecracker run! This year the participants included Porter & Jed, my friend Pooja & I, and my dad. Jack wasn't sure if he had time to run because of his spot in the parade this year. He was playing percussion in the El Toro marching band :]

I didn't even find Pooja in the crowd until like literally a couple minutes before the race started :]

My final time was 29:53, which is good because my goal was to beat last years 30 minutes ;] After that we stopped by our house and then went to our ward's pancake breakfast. I invited my friend Zoe and we met her there after the race. I think she enjoyed it! :] We had also invited dad's old boss Lisa, who came to watch Henry do the flag ceremony. Next we went home and showered and then went and saw the annual parade! Guaranteed candy, noise, and many different church bands/handouts.

Merida! This was a random part in the parade where people ( who we actually knew! :] ) dressed up as Merida ( aka Summer ) and some random assistant dude ( aka Chase ) and horses through the parade route! Awesome :]
Then we went home and got ready to go to a BBQ at our cousins the Coe's! We were going to swim and eat and hang out. I ended up not swimming but I had fun! :] All the rest of the boys swam though, and we may or may not have locked them out a couple times... ;] Funnnnnnnnnn.
The next thing we did was kind of random. The boys went to the Sun and Sail club to swim some more, while I stayed home and watched Figure it Out :] I love that show. Then my dad came and picked me up and we all went down to the club to watch fireworks so I wouldn't be home alone.

The fireworks were great and the Fourth of July was overall awesome!
